How to Enable Order Lookup by Email or Shipping Postal Code

On AfterShip Returns, merchants can allow their customers to search or find their orders by email and shipping postal code. This can be easily set up under the Order lookup settings.
In this tutorial, we’ll discuss:
How to enable order lookup by email or shipping postal code
How to modify the email or postal code prompt text
Log in to AfterShip Returns admin account
Go to Return policy > Order lookup

Under Finder orders, check Email address, Shipping postal code, or both if you want your customers to find their orders with both the options
Hit the Save button
Once done, you need to modify the email/postal code prompt in the returns page editor and the corresponding error messages. Please make sure you modify it because the system will not update automatically.
Go to Customizations > Returns Page > Choose the Page content tab
Click Email/postal code prompt and set your text

Now click Localize in the upper-right hand side of the to edit the email and postal code prompt text in all the languages you have configured your returns page in

On the return page language editor, select the language in which in which you want to tweak the prompt text from the dropdown above and move to the Email/postal code prompt section. Though our system auto-translates the various returns page elements in the language you set, we will still recommend verifying the translation

Move to the Error messages section, set your error message for Order lookup - Can't find order


You add another language for your returns page, expand the language dropdown and click + Add language.
Select the language from the list of supported languages
Select the checkbox if you want our system to run the auto-translation of your returns page
Hit Add

Check all the sections of your returns page again and edit content wherever required
