How to Generate Packing Slips for Your Returns

Packing slips are provided with return labels which act as a paper trail or record of what should be in the shipment. They usually contain RMA numbers, product SKUs, product quantities, return reasons, and ship from and ship to location addresses. In AfterShip Returns, you can auto-generate packing slips when generating return labels under the return Shipping settings.
In this tutorial, we will show you:
Enable packing slips
Customer experience
Navigate to (Shipping)[https://admin.returnscenter.com/settings] in the AfterShip Returns admin
Move to Labels section
a. Toggle on Generate packing slips for AfterShip Shipping labels

b. Select where you would like the packing slip and return label on
Separate pages
One page
c. Select the checkbox to include the barcode on the packing slip
Select the checkbox for RMA number to populate the barcode with AfterShip Returns Center RMA no.
Select the checkbox for Order number to populate the barcode with eCommerce platform order no.
d. Hit Save
Add a step in the return shipping instructions under Return routing rules to tell customers to include the packing slip in their return

The customers can view and download the return label and packing slip from the two locations they will appear after the return request submission.
The customer will see the link for the packing slip named View invoice on the return request status page. Once they click on it, a new window with a pdf of the packing slip will open. The customer can download the packing slip from there right away.

The customer can also access and download the packing slip from the return confirmation email they will receive after submitting the return request.
